What is it

Night at the Museum: Hidden Treasures is a spin-off of Pocket Gem’s Secret Passages where fans can continue exploring the world of the Night at the Museum franchise through a casual game experience.

Why I joined

Night at the Museum was Pocket Gem’s first experiment with a franchised title. The shortened timeline, small team, and a high level of autonomy was the perfect environment for me to test and hone my design skills.

This was also a great opportunity for me to develop my visual design process.

As senior designer I was responsible for executing on all aspects of the game’s interface.

Get Your Audience
Night at the Museum was an great evolution of our Hidden Object Games at the time, and totally fell flat. Turns out the movie fans weren’t a huge fan of this genre. Get your users.

Learn the Language
Being open and willing to learn the technical nature of UI implementation allowed for an incredible collaborative relationship where I was able to challenge the thinking and assumptions of my engineering partner and produce solutions that were better experiences and technically sound.
